About the Role
Great Lakes Dental Technologies is looking for a marketing and commercialization focused Marketing Senior Product Manager to lead our entire orthodontic and dental device product portfolio which includes appliances and related clinical solutions. You'll own product strategy, market analysis, customer insights, and commercialization planning for physical, manufactured clinical products, driving revenue growth and adoption among orthodontists and dental practitioners. You'll serve as the key liaison between Product Development, Digital Dentistry, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support, guiding products from concept through launch, adoption, and lifecycle management.
What You'll Do
- Product Strategy & Portfolio Management: Own product strategy and portfolio management for our entire orthodontic and dental device line, evaluating market opportunities, clinical needs, and competitive positioning to guide the product lifecycle from concept through market retirement.
- Commercialization & Go-To-Market Leadership: Lead commercialization and go-to-market execution launch planning, sales enablement, customer-facing collateral, clinical value propositions, and training — partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support to drive adoption among orthodontists and dental professionals.
- Customer & Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze feedback from practitioners and clinical end-users, and monitor industry and competitive trends, translating insights from customer visits and trade shows into actionable product recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Digital Dentistry, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing to align product strategy with operational execution and prioritize product enhancements and new development.
- Product Performance & Lifecycle Management: Track product adoption, margin, and revenue contribution across the portfolio, recommending pricing, positioning, and improvement strategies, and supporting business cases for new product investment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7–10 years of product management, product marketing, commercialization, marketing, or business development experience, with a clear focus on product growth.
- 3–5 years of experience in Orthodontic or Dental Devices (strongly preferred), Medical Device, Healthcare Technology, or Healthcare Manufacturing.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to connect customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives to sell across a full product portfolio to healthcare and clinical customers.
- Proven ability to develop compelling clinical value propositions and go-to-market / commercialization strategies for physical, manufactured products.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality/Regulatory without direct authority.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience evaluating market trends, customer feedback, financial data, pricing, and product performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present product recommendations to senior leadership.
- Working knowledge of market research, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, and customer journey mapping within the dental or orthodontic market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred) and CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Sales Logix, or equivalent).
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with digital dentistry workflows (CAD/CAM, digital scanning, 3D printing) as they relate to product integration.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Understanding of quality and regulatory considerations within medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
