Job Title: Experienced Equipment Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator with proven experience operating heavy machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and inspecting equipment to support daily operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, forklifts, cranes, or similar machinery (as applicable).
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Execute tasks such as grading, trenching, lifting, loading, hauling, or material placement according to project plans.
- Follow all safety procedures, site rules, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, ground crew, and other operators to coordinate work activities.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs; report mechanical issues promptly.
- Read and interpret job plans, grade stakes, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a professional setting.
- Valid equipment operator certification and/or license (as required by local regulations).
- Strong understanding of equipment safety standards and operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and situational awareness.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and job site environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple types of heavy equipment.
- OSHA or equivalent safety training certification.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
