Center Substitute Teacher/Aide
Location: 812 North College Drive, Bowling Green, OH 43402
Pay Rate: $17.82 per hour
Summary: Assist with the daily operations of Early Childhood and New Directions Summer and After School programs in compliance with all policies, procedures, licensing and funding requirements at assigned sites.

Education:
Required High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
Experience:
Up to one year experience working with children and adults or experience in food preparation, or experience working in an office or custodial work.
As a condition of employment, the following are additional requirements:
- Initial and periodic physical exams required.
- Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
- Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Classroom Duties:
- Organize, sanitize, and store classroom equipment and supplies.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing lesson plans and classroom and recreational activities.
- Assist with home visits.
- Assist with record keeping duties and preparing and maintaining program materials.
- Assist in enforcing self-care activities and enforcing safety rules and procedures.
- Set up and take down classroom and lunch equipment.
- Ensure dishes, trays and food service areas are cleaned daily.
Nutrition Aide/Janitor Duties:
- Maintain accurate meal count; prepare meals and snacks.
- Pick up catered lunches; monitor food temperature; smell and taste food before serving.
- Distribute meals and snacks to individual classrooms.
- Restock groceries and supplies.
- Arrange tables and classroom equipment; clean and sanitize toys.
Office Duties:
- Serve as receptionist to receive visitors, answer phone calls, and provide information regarding program(s) and other community services.
- Provide secretarial services such as typing/word processing, filing and copying; develop flyers, memos and banners
- Collect, process, and distribute postal and inter-program mail.
- Maintain office building and equipment.
