What are the responsibilities and job description for the 504/MTSS/Testing Coordinator position at Great Hearts Texas?
The Section 504/MTSS/Testing Campus Coordinator:
- Supports the campus Section 504 and RTI (MTSS) programs; Ensures the provision of services and compliance with all state, federal, and local Section 504 and MTSS requirements.
- Coordinates referrals, Facilitates evaluations/eligibility determination, Provides timely notices and consents
- Develops Section 504 Plans, facilitates Annual Review meetings, and monitors the implementation of accommodations
- Serves as a daily resource to Campus Administrators, Teachers, and Community Members regarding Section 504 and MTSS issues and provides training to campus.
- Monitors and collects data on student progress/achievement; Maintains confidential files, records, and documents
- Establishes and maintains open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
- Supports and/or conducts assessments under Section 504
- Support and assist the Executive Director of Title I Education, Data, and Intervention in the performance of various testing and assessment responsibilities.
- Assist with state and local assessment coordination, schedule, and communication with academy testing coordinators and headmasters (in-person and distance learning).
- Provide support during state testing cycle for in-person and distance learning.
- Provide technical assistance support for testing coordinators and headmasters.
- Coordinate with the Executive Director regarding testing, assessment, and data matters as needed.
- Work to address (generally) testing and assessment issues that get elevated and require executive attention at the academies.
- Apply the standard policies and administrative regulations of a Great Hearts Academy and those established by the local Board of Directors and Headmaster, in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide data reports when requested
Qualifications:
- Valid/Current Texas Teaching Certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of 504 and MTSS processes and procedures
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills, experience using Adobe Acrobat.
- Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills; oriented towards detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Experienced and comfortable interacting with individuals/groups at every level of the organization.
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- 1 years of successful teaching, Section 504/MTSS, and/or intervention experience
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a K-12 school setting (preferred)
