Overview
Front Counter/Sales/Customer Service positions available, selling our bread, muffins, cookies, other delicious goodies and making sandwiches. Basic cleaning responsibilities inbetween customer care. The business pace fluctuates throughout the day, but it is mostly a medium-paced job. The staff is all very friendly and familiar with repeat customers. Fun music plays all day adding to the happy vibes. The counter position is partnered and mostly self-directed. Part-time positions and full time available. Tips are an added bonus as well as employee discount on all products and free lunch.
Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly

Whether assisting with product information or managing transactions, your role is vital in delivering outstanding retail experiences.
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the store is inviting and well-presented
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory checks
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking orders
- Engage in retail sales activities including promoting special offers and upselling relevant products
- Assist with basic math calculations for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments
- Participate in training sessions on product knowledge and customer service best practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers, including bilingual abilities being a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory tasks
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Supervising experience or leadership roles are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
