Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks, transport materials within the warehouse, and stock inventory
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory movements, update stock levels, and ensure order accuracy
- Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch while adhering to trade compliance standards and international trade regulations
- Maintain proper stacking and storage of goods on pallets or shelves to optimize space utilization and ensure safety standards are met
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipment contents against documentation, completing inbound/outbound logs, and preparing shipping labels
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment using ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP software for inventory control
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure operational safety and report any maintenance needs
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping logistics, order fulfillment, and inventory management
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including stocking, picking & packing, load & unload procedures
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms, and RF scanners
- Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring quantities, and verifying shipment details
- Understanding of trade compliance regulations related to international trade standards is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols in a fast-paced environment
