Campus Dean, BSN Nursing Program | Nursing Education Leadership Position
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Campus Dean for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for a seasoned nursing educator who is passionate about shaping the future of nursing education. As Campus Dean, you will provide strategic oversight and operational management of all nursing program activities, ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and student success while fostering partnerships with clinical sites and the broader healthcare community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning, management, and evaluation of all BSN nursing program operations and academic activities
- Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and resources are available to meet program goals and accreditation standards
- Prepare and submit comprehensive data reports for state board of nursing and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate student and faculty records in collaboration with Human Resources
- Develop, implement, and update nursing program policies and procedures in accordance with accreditation standards
- Oversee student admissions processes, new student orientation, and enrollment management
- Serve as the primary liaison between the college, community partners, and healthcare organizations
- Manage clinical site partnerships, agreements, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate and approve clinical rotation schedules and conduct clinical site evaluations
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor qualified nursing faculty and instructional staff
- Advocate for and actively market nursing programs to prospective students and community stakeholders
- Monitor instructional quality, curriculum effectiveness, and contribute to institutional strategic planning
- Support comprehensive student advising, academic counseling, and student retention initiatives
- Facilitate and conduct regular Nursing Advisory Committee meetings with healthcare partners
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree required
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the campus state or ability to obtain upon hire
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in collegiate nursing education programs
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and inclusive leadership style with proven team-building abilities
- Proficiency in computer-based resources, learning management systems, and educational technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing or related field
- Previous experience in nursing program administration or academic leadership role
- Knowledge of nursing accreditation standards (CCNE, ACEN)
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment
