Location: Kaysville, Utah (In-office)
Great Basin Industrial is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join our finance and HR team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee wages, benefits, and deductions in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees.
- Maintain payroll records and update employee information including new hires, terminations, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax filings.
- Coordinate with the HR team for benefits deductions and leave tracking.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports for management and auditors.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with payroll audits and year-end processing.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience processing payroll in a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and confidentiality skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista by Trimble is a plus.
