The Indirect Loan Officer creates a remarkable experience consistent with our brand personality, core values, service promises, mission, and vision with all internal and external relationships. Responsible for reviewing, processing, and funding indirect loan packages received from approved dealerships. Ensures funding packages are complete, accurate, and compliant with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Works closely with dealership personnel to resolve funding conditions, prevent fraud, and ensure timely funding to maintain strong dealer relationships. Conducts post-funding outreach to applicants to introduce the credit union and build relationships. Communicate professionally and with compassion with all parties, including dealers, members, and internal staff.

Experience and Training |
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous lending or funding experience preferred
- Must be eligible for and be registered on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System as a Mortgage Loan Originator as part of the SAFE Act
- Must be eligible for and willing to be a Notary Public
- Must pass the Consumer Loan Policy test with a score of at least 95% within 90 days
- Must pass the Mortgage Loan Policy test with a score of at least 95% within 6 months

- Ensures confidentiality in all areas and maintains the financial integrity of the credit union
- Ability to communicate professionally, courteously, and tactfully with management, staff, dealers, and members
- Participates in necessary credit union meetings, training sessions, and community events as needed
- Demonstrates a significant level of trust and diplomacy to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with members, direct and indirect reports, and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience.

Extent of Public Contact |
This position works extensively with dealership personnel, members, and internal staff, both on indirect and general loan matters, primarily via telephone, email, and electronic systems, with occasional in-person contact. Post-funding communication with members is conducted with professionalism and compassion.
