What you’ll do
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in a public housing setting.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose/resolve issues
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments, ensuring all equipment meets safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with team members and housing residents
Basic qualifications
- Proven maintenance experience within a public housing sector specifically with elderly/disabled, and family apartment units in a State funded housing authority.
- The ideal candidates will have experience with electrical, plumbing, drywall/taping, carpentry, lawn mowing, landscaping, tree trimming, snow removal, shoveling, including painting, and installing flooring.
- Familiarity in housing preferred but not required.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience electrical, plumbing, wall repair, floor repair/installation, painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and/or diagnose issues with boilers/heating systems.
- Effective Communications skills with outside vendors and residents required.
- On-Call Rotation is a requirement of both of these positions.
