Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on early childhood education, including literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to young children's learning and safety.
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, and age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones such as language acquisition, motor skills, and social interaction.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and support individualized learning plans.
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure comfort and consistency for infants and toddlers.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative approach to early childhood development.
- Support behavior management strategies that promote positive interactions and emotional regulation among children.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in early childhood education settings or childcare environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including Montessori or other child-centered educational approaches.
- Familiarity with special education techniques and working with children with disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage classroom routines with patience, flexibility, and professionalism.
- Experience with literacy education, math activities, behavior management strategies, and mentoring young learners.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred but not required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
