Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote early childhood development, including sensory play, language acquisition, and motor skills enhancement
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care by feeding, diapering, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the day
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Engage with children through age-appropriate play, storytelling, singing, and other interactive activities that stimulate growth
- Observe and document developmental milestones and behaviors to inform individualized care plans
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's daily experiences and developmental progress
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early childhood education
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of young children and support their individual growth
