Automotive Repair Shop General Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Repair Shop General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our busy automotive service center. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive mechanical knowledge, and a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair. Duties

• Oversee daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and customer service standards
• Supervise and support automotive technicians, ensuring efficient and quality repairs
• Maintain inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for shop functions
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Manage customer relations, including estimates, service explanations, and resolving concerns
• Implement training programs for staff development and skill enhancement
• Monitor shop performance metrics to improve productivity and profitability
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workshop environment

Requirements

• Mitchell 1/Shopkey Experience Preferred
• Proven experience in automotive repair with mechanic experience preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repairs
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment
• Ability to perform vehicle maintenance and general repairs as needed
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and customers
• Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
• Prior experience in managing an automotive repair shop or similar environment is highly desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48, $75,000.00 per year
