Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and site conditions using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their fencing needs, provide expert guidance, and negotiate pricing to secure contracts that align with company goals.
- Review construction plans and drawings to determine scope of work, material quantities, and labor requirements for fencing projects.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing on materials and ensure timely procurement for upcoming projects.
- Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms, scope of work, and cost control measures to protect project margins.
- Support project management teams by providing cost estimates that facilitate accurate budgeting and scheduling for construction site activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on fencing or related heavy civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site conditions, and materials used in fencing installations.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
