About the Opportunity
Graystone Group is partnering with a growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) seeking an experienced Sr. Investment Associate (Trader) to join its investment team. This individual will play a key role in executing trades, supporting portfolio rebalancing initiatives, maintaining trading accuracy, and ensuring efficient investment operations across client portfolios.
The ideal candidate has experience working within an RIA environment, is highly detail-oriented, and is proficient with Envestnet Tamarac or a comparable portfolio management and trading platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute equity, fixed income, mutual fund, ETF, and other investment trades across client accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
- Utilize Envestnet Tamarac to manage trading workflows, portfolio rebalancing, model implementation, and account maintenance.
- Monitor daily trading activity to ensure timely execution and compliance with firm investment guidelines.
- Coordinate with portfolio managers and advisors to implement investment decisions and model changes.
- Review trade allocations, resolve trade exceptions, and reconcile execution discrepancies.
- Assist with cash management, portfolio transitions, and account onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate trading records and documentation while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with custodians and internal operations teams to resolve trade settlement and operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve trading processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Support ongoing investment operations projects and platform enhancements as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years of trading or investment operations experience within an RIA, wealth management firm, family office, or institutional investment environment.
- Hands-on experience with Envestnet Tamarac strongly preferred.
- Experience with portfolio rebalancing, model management, and multi-account trading.
- Familiarity with custodial platforms such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, or similar institutions.
- Strong understanding of securities markets, trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and investment operations.
- Advanced attention to detail with exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and investment reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with portfolio accounting and performance reporting platforms.
- FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 66 licenses are a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with additional investment technology platforms such as Orion, Addepar, Black Diamond, Eclipse, or iRebal.
Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
