Position Title: Pipe Foreman II
Department: Pipe
Supervisor: Pipe Superintendent
Location: Athens, AL
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate track hoes, loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery to move, transport, and position pipe materials and other equipment
- Assist in supervising and coordinating the work of team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to required standards
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately
- Monitor daily activities on-site, ensuring that work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Monitor the quality of work performed by team members, ensuring it meets project specifications and standards
- Assist in managing an organized and clean work site environment, addressing any hazards or obstructions
- Document and report any incidents or issues that occur
- Maintain a high level of quality work
- Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience as a foreman
- Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not required
- Ability to travel between job sites as required
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
- Work weekends and overtime as needed
- Committed to attending work each day
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
