What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audit Associate position at Gray Griffith & Mays CPAs?
Location: Morgantown, WV
Salary/Pay Rate: Competitive rates based on experience, qualifications and career progression.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine audit engagement procedures in a timely and professional manner;
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and partners of the office;
- Effectively manage multiple client assignments and/or tasks from various teams;
- Identify and analyze problems and formulate thoughtful solutions to internal or client questions.
- Coordinate client calls, office visits and data exchange necessary to plan and perform audit procedures.
- Meet agreed upon time commitments while maintaining an acceptable quality of work
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or related field
- CPAs or CPA exam eligible candidates preferred
- Highly motivated - interested in personal and professional growth
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding client relationship skills (internal and external)
- Willingness to learn, engage and be an active participant in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Prosystem FX experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of current audit and accounting concepts
- Must have good analytical and proactive creative problem-solving skills
