The Stamford, CT office of a global investment firm is looking to hire an entry level candidate for a Temp to Perm position on their Mailroom Service/Facilities team. This is a great entry level position in a premier financial services firm, for someone with a little office experience. There is future growth potential within the company. This is a fully in-office position, and the goal is to convert into a permanent position in six months. The hours are 8:30 - 5:00 (with flexibility for a little OT). You will be responsible for many facilities procedures and protocols, and take ownership of a variety of mailroom tasks, while simultaneously providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedules and prioritizes all mailroom services.
- Receives, delivers, and processes interdepartmental and external (U.S., international) mail, parcels, and other materials.
- Operates mailroom equipment including print/copy machines, postage processing and document insertion equipment; performs basic maintenance as needed.
- Maintains and develops records for billing, inventory, mailing, and parcel shipping.
- Orders materials and supplies needed for all client departments.
- Is responsible for the maintenance of supply levels and equipment in Print/Copy Rooms throughout the office space.
- Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, departmental customers, and other related individuals.
- Develops and maintains relationships with co-workers, communicating and interacting effectively at all levels, including with high-profile individuals and all levels of management.
- Assists in planning, set-up, and coordination of events.
- Executes on administrative and other duties as assigned.
- Assists with coordinating internal office moves to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Supervises landscaping activities to ensure the grounds are maintained.
- Manages and tracks IT inventory to maintain accurate records and ensure equipment availability.
- Partners with engineers to resolve service requests and maintain office standards.

- Ability to exercise sound judgment in assessing and determining how to handle queries and issues
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of clients, vendors, and staff, including with the most senior levels of the firm
- Ability to prioritize tasks, applying effective multitasking and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Extremely professional demeanor and attitude

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Hands on experience with office equipment (printers, shred machines etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Detail oriented with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Willing and able to commute between local offices as needed
Salary : $25 - $27
