Position Description
Position Title: PM Custodian
Department: Facilities
Reports To: Facilities/Transportation Director
Evaluated By: Facilities/Transportation Director
HOURLY WAGE: Based on existing pay scale for position.
The overall goal of the maintenance/custodial department is to produce an attractive, clean, safe environment for the entire staff and student body.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Unlock doors and have building ready for the day.
2. Clean office areas.
3. Check building for areas the evening crew may have missed.
4. Clean door glass windows on entry doors or any glass that needs cleaning.
5. Clean and disinfect teachers’ lounge, tables and counter tops.
6. Clean and disinfect all restrooms.
7. Check all restrooms and replenish supplies in all dispensers in the building. (Soap, paper
towels, toilet paper)
8. Spot mop hard surface floors during the day.
9. Dust mop hallways.
10. Clean off the front entrances daily.
11. Keep all custodial closets clean.
12. Keep all equipment clean.
13. Clean cafeteria tables with disinfect daily
14. Pull up cafeteria tables and mop and auto scrub floors daily.
15. Empty all trash containers.
16. Perform any and all other duties assigned by your supervisor or building principal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing, the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, use hands, and lifting. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 100 lbs.
