- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments utilizing clinical research and medical terminology.
- Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments, including medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and MAT treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with conditions such as depression, anxiety, SUD and other behavioral health disorders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review for optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize EMR systems like Athenahealth to document patient encounters accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide telehealth services with experience in telehealth systems to expand access to mental health care across diverse populations.
- Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness strategies tailored for patients with complex needs.
- Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatric or behavioral health care within inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth.
- Experience administering injections, including psychotropic and MAT medications.
- Background working with diverse populations. Experience working with SUD patients is desired.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes related to mental health services and medication management procedures.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols relevant to psychiatric practice and infection control standards in clinical environments.
- While an independent Kentucky practicing PMPNP is desired, we are open to meet with an experienced provider working with a collaborative MD.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $166,000.00 per year
