Grateful Heart Veterinary Hospital, a state of the art veterinary clinic located in the bustling Eliot neighborhood on North Vancouver Ave, is looking to add a Veterinary Technician Assistant to our team of super stars.
Our Veterinary Technician Assistants are responsible for the following:
- Supports our 3 doctors and Certified Veterinary Technicians team to create low stress, positive atmosphere and care for clients and patients.
- Assists in the treatment area, surgery suite and exam rooms with the day-to-day operations.
- Data entry and accurate note taking for patient records.
- Housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Requirements/attributes/skills:
- Must have experience in the veterinarian field with extensive animal/pet handling experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Comfortable working on a computer is a must.
- Able to lift 40 pounds. Must be phyically flexible and able to bend.
- Must be able to stand for most of a 9 hour shift.
- Excellent communication skills- verbal and written, along with computer knowledge.
- Adaptable to constant change and likes working at a fast pace as part of a team.
- Takes pride in being punctual, dependable and reliable.
- Has upbeat energy, and a positive attitude.
- Looks for ways to contribute and takes initiative.
- Easily takes direction and enjoys learning new skills and/or information.
