What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary CSR/Receptionist position at Grateful Heart Veterinary Hospital?
Grateful Heart Veterinary Hospital is an independently owned, small animal practice seeking an experienced Veterinary CSR to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic calendar.
- Check clients in/out and process payments with accuracy.
- Accurately document patient information and care as part of the medical record.
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Provide compassionate support to clients during routine visits and difficult circumstances.
- Assist with other administrative and front-desk duties as needed.
- Support a positive work environment that is focused on collaboration, teamwork, professionalism, and provide compassionate and efficient care to patients.
- Support hospital organization and patient care workflow.
Qualification Requirements/Skills:
- Veterinary experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and basic veterinary medical procedures.
- Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time and performing physical tasks.
- Experience with EzyVet software is a plus (not required).
- Demonstrate proficiency in typing and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ensure the completion of all assigned hospital duties before the end of each shift.
- Adhere to OSHA standards and regulations as outlined in company policies.
- Ability to perform other job duties as assigned.
