About This Role
Christian preschool hiring an enthusiastic teacher assistant for two year olds on Monday/Wednesday. Hours 8:30-2:30, August through May.
What You'll Do
Working collaboratively with teacher to assist in classroom
Ensure physical safety and active supervision of children in classroom, playground, and during transitions
Help children with basic hygiene needs, including diapering/toileting routines, handwashing, and lunchtime routines
Use positive, gentle redirection to help children navigate social interactions
Help keep classroom and school spaces clean, organized, and sanitized
Partner with families during drop-off and pick-up, reporting any daily concerns or updates to the teacher
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or other field preferred
Prior classroom experience
Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
Strong written and verbal communication
Team-minded
