Position Overview:
Trucco Inc. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and strategic Controller to join our leadership team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company’s financial health and long-term growth objectives.

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company’s financial health and long-term growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Work closely with other departments to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
- Experience in the produce, food distribution, or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with systems integration and upgrades is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
