Greeter & Host at FÜM
FÜM is open, busy and one of the most talked-about restaurants in Atlanta. Every night, guests walk in to the glow of a wood-fired hearth, fresh pasta being made in full view and a dining room full of energy, and the first person they meet is you. We're looking for warm, polished Greeters and Hosts who love people, stay calm when the door is packed and know that a great night starts with a great welcome.
Meet FÜM
FÜM takes its name from an Italo-Gaelic word for "smoke," and the whole restaurant is built around fire. It's a contemporary Italian restaurant in West Midtown, centered on a wood-fired hearth and an open show kitchen. The space is designed like a living Italian marketplace, with a pasta room, a dry-aging chamber, a wine section and a cocktail bar, and nothing about the craft is hidden from guests.
We make everything from scratch and source the best regional ingredients we can find. Our wine list is tightly focused: Champagne alongside Italian bottles from natural, organic and biodynamic producers. Our approach is simple: food made slowly, techniques respected, and ingredients given the time they need.
Led by Chef Sebastian Vargas
Chef Sebastian has cooked at Osteria Francescana, Eleven Madison Park and Fäviken Magasinet. His cooking draws on ancestral techniques, biodiversity and telling stories through food. Every dish honors both heritage and innovation.

The Role
- Welcome every guest warmly and set the tone for their night from the moment they walk in.
- Manage reservations, the waitlist and walk-ins on OpenTable, and keep the book organized and accurate.
- Run guest flow and seating so tables turn smoothly, sections stay balanced and no one waits longer than they should.
- Know the menu, the space and the story behind FÜM well enough to answer questions and build excitement.
- Handle special requests, celebrations and VIP guests with care and discretion.
- Stay in close contact with servers, managers and the kitchen so the floor keeps its rhythm.
- Keep the host stand and entrance spotless and ready, and make the last goodbye as memorable as the first hello.
You Are
- Experienced in upscale or high-volume hospitality.
- Skilled with reservation platforms like OpenTable, and confident managing guest flow and seating.
- A natural host with a warm, engaging and professional presence.
- Calm and gracious under pressure, even on a packed Saturday night.
- Dedicated to learning and sharing our menu, values and culinary philosophy.
- A team player who thrives in a pooled house environment.
