Graphite is modern code review for fast-moving teams - we help engineers write and review smaller pull requests, stay unblocked, and ship faster .
Anyone can start using Graphite individually without needing their coworkers to change tools - we seamlessly sync code changes and reviews. We started Graphite because we missed internal code review tools like Phabricator (at Facebook) and Critique (Google) that help engineers create, approve, and ship small, incremental changes. We're passionate about creating products & workflows that help fast-moving eng teams achieve more.

We're a small-but-mighty team of 26 based in Manhattan in the heart of Soho, with a passionate and rapidly growing group of users at top engineering orgs like Datadog, Asana, Brex, Ramp, and Snowflake.
Our $20m Series A (featured in TechCrunch) was led by Peter Levine at Andreessen Horowitz (who led GitHub's Series A), with participation from folks like Tom Preston-Werner (founder of GitHub), Sam Lambert (Planetscale CEO & ex-GitHub CTO), Sebastian Markbge (creator of React), and many more.

About the Role
Graphite is growing rapidly, and we're looking for a design engineer to bring a high level of polish and creative experiences to Graphite .
You'll work on both the design and implementation of our marketing pages, from graphite.dev to other microsites. You'll also contribute to the in-product experience, partnering with other engineers to bring your creative concepts into the product.
This role combines design and engineering, and the exact responsibilities are flexible to your strengths and interests. As one of the first design engineers, you'll help shape the role and define the future of design engineering at Graphite. Above all, this role is best suited for someone excited about both exploring beautiful experiences and technologies to bring them to life.
Rethinking the way fast-moving eng teams write and review code every day is no small feat, and we believe that the best solutions are built when the most talented, ambitious, and dedicated people from diverse backgrounds come together.
What you'll do
- Own the implementation of the visual experience for our marketing efforts across surfaces (www, blog, docs, micro sites)
- Collaborate with our brand designer, marketing team, other design engineers on concepts and ideas for our marketing pages and new campaigns
- Explore creative improvements that uplevel the Graphite product experience, and directly implement these alongside our product engineers
- Champion and evolve the design culture and processes at Graphite
