Director of Secondary Education

 

A current Oregon Professional Administrator License or
Continuing Administrator License is required.

 


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Secondary Education is responsible to the Superintendent and works under his direction.  The Director of Secondary Education is a member of the Superintendent’s Administrative Team. The Director of Secondary Education directs the District's instructional programs at the secondary level and provides leadership in the ongoing development and improvement of secondary curriculum in the District; assists in the planning, organization and evaluation of the District’s secondary support systems including guidance, attendance and pupil records; directs the accountability and assessment efforts of the District’s 6-12 programs; works collaboratively with other administrators to develop processes and products that successfully support educational programs.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of Oregon Curriculum Standards in grades 6-12.
  • Successful teaching experience at elementary and/or secondary level preferred.
  • Successful experience as a principal or in a district-level administrative position.
  • Knowledge of and Experience with AVID preferred.
  • Experience in designing, coordinating, and implementing training/professional development programs.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

Outstanding leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, collaborative leadership style, proven track record of being a team player who can work with fellow administrators, staff, students, and parents.

Salary range: $134,685-$151,915

Funding for all positions for the 2026-2027 school year is subject to state funding.
