Courier - 3.75 Hours Per Day - 2026-2027 School Year

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2026-2027 school year:

Calendar: 197 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Sort and load packages in order of destination and route.
2. The Courier receives and distributes a wide variety of goods, supplies, inter-district correspondence, and mail to and from buildings throughout the district as well as driving to and from the Boys and Girls Club, Josephine County Library, and/or other destinations as required.
3. Responsible for seeing that the vehicle driven is properly maintained and conduct regularly scheduled operational checks for safety.
4. Provides each building location with a schedule of pickup and delivery times.
5. Possess a current Oregon Operator’s License by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
6. Excellent driving record.
7. Other duties as assigned.
8. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

• Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $75 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $16.77-$24.22 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees).
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees.
• 6 paid holidays per year.
• 2 personal days per year.
• 10 paid sick leave days per year.
• Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement.
• Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,200 per year.
• Up to $1,624 per month district-paid contribution toward full-family medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  $4,534 per year insurance opt-out stipend for employees who demonstrate other health insurance coverage under a qualifying employer sponsored group medical plan (more than 6-hour employees), $4,080.60 (4–6-hour employees).
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
• Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1,000-$1,600).
