Duties
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including legal research using legal research tools
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and correspondence
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems and case management software like PCLaw and iManage
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct document review and assist with discovery processes
- Transcribe dictations and prepare reports or summaries as needed
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing systems for all case-related materials
- Support project management tasks related to ongoing litigation cases
- Communicate effectively with clients, internal legal team, and other stakeholders via phone and other professional correspondence
- Perform administrative duties including scheduling, filing, and managing deadlines to ensure smooth workflow within the law office
Skills
- Proven experience in legal administrative support within a law office setting preferred or administrative support in a corporate/client services setting
- Deep knowledge of legal processes, or some knowledge with exceptional administrative and organization skills with an intense desire to learn
- Proficiency with legal research platforms desired
- Experience with case management software such as PCLaw and document management systems like iManage
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Strong proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy of all materials
- Effective transcription skills for converting audio recordings into written documents
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines
- Ability to perform data entry accurately and maintain meticulous filing systems
- Exceptional phone etiquette combined with professional communication skills
- Project management capabilities to coordinate tasks across different cases or practice areas

Pay: $62,000.00 - $89,000.00 per year
