Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret laboratory results to guide treatment decisions.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, as needed.
- Provide acute pain management and support for patients undergoing procedures such as catheterization or spinal taps.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as urgent care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine.
- Manage chronic conditions through effective case management and patient education.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and patient records management.
- Engage in clinical research activities to contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Experience in critical care settings, including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers.
- Familiarity with specialties such as gastroenterology, pediatrics, geriatrics, or infectious disease care.
- Background in outpatient care, home care, or assisted living environments.
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and workers' compensation law.
- Experience with telehealth services and behavioral health management.
- Skills in performing procedures like suturing, venipuncture, phlebotomy, or airway management.
