Assistant Controller
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all monthly and year-end closing processes for multiple entities. This includes the preparation of monthly journal entries, cost allocations, debt activity, etc.
- Create financial statements along with reporting packages to be submitted to the Controller and ownership by set deadlines.
- Ensure construction financing is in place as necessary and that cash needs are met in accordance with company payable terms. This would include requesting loan draws as necessary.
- Monitor single family interest payments and loan balances to ensure they agree with lending institutions.
- Prepare various reporting and compliance processes as necessary.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities. Ensure critical cash activity is posted timely for use in cash management forecasting.
Grant New Homes is looking for an Assistant Controller based in their Collierville office. This role is an on-site position. The accounting team is an integral part of the success of overall operations for the various business activities of Grant. This position will work with ownership as well as other departments. This includes construction, development, sales and other accounting team members. Grant is a fast-paced and exciting environment which requires strong communication, organizational, flexibility, and detail-oriented skills.
- Requirements:4-Year Accounting Degree
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- High proficiency in Excel required
- CPA / public accounting experience is a plus
