Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to ensure presentation excellence.
- Buss tables efficiently by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining spaces.
- Support kitchen staff with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment using safe lifting practices.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely food delivery and service.
- Maintain cleanliness by assisting with general cleaning duties, including sanitizing workstations and dining areas.
- Provide friendly, in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food running, serving, and banquet experience is advantageous.
- Hospitality or hotel experience can be beneficial but is not required; a passion for guest services is essential.
