Swim Instructor - Aquatics

The Granite YMCA is seeking Swim Instructors to join our fun, energetic, and mission-driven aquatics team! This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, gain teaching experience, and make a lasting impact by helping swimmers of all ages build confidence and water safety skills.

Responsibilities:

• Teach swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
• Follow YMCA curriculum to support skill progression and water safety
• Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback
• Build positive relationships with swimmers, families, and staff
• Track participant progress and complete required documentation
• Assist with pool safety and respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Attend required trainings and communicate scheduling needs

Qualifications:

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong swimming skills and comfort in the water
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with diverse age groups
• Positive, patient, and encouraging teaching style
