Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C)
Minimum Requirements:
Meet qualifications for State CNA II certification
Successful completion of a Board-approved Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) training program
Passed MA-C competency evaluation
Job Summary:
Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for a Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) to administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of Nurse. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.
Essential Functions:
Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
Takes vital signs
Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
Record and restock medication inventories.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:
Active certification in the state of Wyoming as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Must hold or be eligible for Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) in Wyoming
Meets qualifications for CNA II certification (as required by state guidelines)
Successful completion of a Board-approved MA-C training program and competency evaluation
Strong attention to detail and ability to safely administer medications under nurse supervision
