Polaris Rehab is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our nursing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe administration of medications and supporting resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and committed to ensuring residents receive medications accurately and on time while contributing to a positive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely prepare and administer medications as delegated by licensed nursing staff
- Follow physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations regarding medication administration
- Observe residents for side effects, reactions, or changes in condition and report findings promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely medication records and documentation in the EMR system
- Assist with routine resident care tasks as needed within scope of practice
- Communicate effectively with nurses regarding resident status and medication concerns
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications
- Support infection control and safety protocols within the facility
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Assist in creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for residents
- Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the State of Wyoming (or eligible/transferable certification as applicable)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Ability to follow directions and work under supervision of licensed nurses
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
