Position: Senior Accounting Specialist (Payroll, Intercompany, AR)
Location: Lutz, FL On-site (NO HYBRID OR REMOTE)
Reports To: Controller
About the Role:
We are a growing low-voltage construction company with multiple entities seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Specialist. This role is designed for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in construction accounting. You will work directly with the Controller and leadership team on key accounting functions including payroll, intercompany transactions, and accounts receivable.
We need a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who gets the job done and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll (multi-entity)
- Process weekly payroll for multiple entities (per diems, PTOs and reimbursement)
- Verify timecards, job costing.
- Provide prompt and clear responses to payroll-related inquiries.
- Intercompany Accounting
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Maintain accurate due-to/due-from accounts and ensure proper eliminations.
- Assist the Controller in preparing financials and multiple reports
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate invoices for construction projects and service work AIA.
- Track payments, monitor the AR aging report, and follow up on delinquent accounts as needed.
- Coordinate billing with project managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
General Accounting & Operational Support:
- Assist the Controller with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and budgets.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the CEO and management team.
- Proactively take on tasks and execute them with accuracy and minimal oversight.
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of accounting experience,
- 2 Construction accounting experience.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of construction payroll, job costing, and AR processes.
- Experience managing intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear communication with executives.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience: $85,000 - $100,000
