Fabricator (Cutter)/Shop Manager

A strong work ethic, be honest, punctual and a positive team player.

• Background in construction and craftsmanship is a plus.
• Experience involving power tools and installations for customers.( preferred)

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pontiac, MI 48341: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery used in the cutting and polishing of granite slabs
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Inspect and measure granite slabs to ensure they meet quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Communicate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Physically able to lift and move heavy granite slabs
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Proficient in using cutting tools and equipment for granite
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings to ensure accurate cuts
• Knowledge of different types of granite and their properties
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy granite slabs
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cuts
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Prior experience in granite cutting or similar field preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
