Our Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering self-performed drywall and interior framing scopes from preconstruction through closeout. This role partners closely with field leadership, estimating, and operations teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Granger’s quality standards. The Project Manager serves as a key communicator across internal teams and project stakeholders while upholding Granger’s values on every project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Communication
- Serve as a primary point of contact for drywall-related scopes with internal teams, general contractors, and project partners.
- Foster strong working relationships with superintendents, forepersons, vendors, and other trade partners.
- Ensure proactive, clear, and consistent communication throughout all phases of work.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams on takeoffs, bid reviews, scope alignment, and production planning.
- Participate in constructability reviews, sequencing discussions, and coordination meetings.
- Assist with manpower planning, material lead times, and logistics related to drywall and framing activities.
- Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, pricing changes, schedules, and project documentation related to drywall scopes.
- Coordinate closely with field leadership to support production goals, labor efficiency, and safe work practices.
- Track costs, budgets, and productivity, identifying risks or variances and implementing solutions proactively.
- Write and administer purchase orders and agreements for materials and related services.
- Support and reinforce a culture of safety aligned with Granger standards and industry best practices.
- Monitor quality control efforts to ensure work meets project specifications and Granger’s expectations.
- Drive projects toward a zero-punch list goal and support timely, complete closeout documentation.
- Represent Granger Construction’s values of trust, integrity, and respect in all interactions.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to doing what’s right for teammates and project partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent construction or trade-specific experience will be considered.
- Experience managing or supporting interiors, drywall, framing, or other self-perform trade scopes preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
- Comfort working closely with field teams and understanding jobsite operations.
