Barista

We seek a dynamic barista who can be fast-tracked to leadership at our Solana Beach location.

Side Note: The ideal candidate must be comfortable around and be able to handle our rabbits. They will be a dedicated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. They must excel at multitasking, demonstrate reliability by consistently showing up on time for scheduled shifts, and possess a genuine passion for hospitality. Excellent communication skills, the ability to quickly grasp and apply new information, and a strong sense of urgency are essential. Above all, we are looking for a candidate who consistently goes the extra mile for customers and colleagues, always striving to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Leadership Duties:
- Uphold and enforce Grange Garden policies and procedures
- Administrative duties, including creating schedules
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items, lattes, and other beverages
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area (back AND front of bar and cafe)
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
- Assist with food preparation as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Barista
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for calculating orders and handling money accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Food Handler Card required
- Must be available on all holidays except Christmas Day.

Pay: $26.50-30.50 per hour, including tips. There is much room for growth.
