Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and evaluation of social service programs that support individuals with disabilities and those from underserved communities.
- Supervise staff members, including social workers, behavioral health specialists, and program coordinators, ensuring effective team management and professional growth.
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and oversee resource allocation to maximize service delivery efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to foster collaboration and support networks.
- Oversee administrative functions such as documentation, compliance with regulations, reporting requirements, and quality assurance processes.
- Develop innovative strategies for program expansion and improvement while ensuring adherence to best practices in social work and behavioral health.
- Provide direct support during complex cases or crises when necessary to ensure client safety and well-being.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in a community or clinical setting.
- Demonstrated success in managing social service programs or projects with a focus on underserved populations.
- Strong background in relationship management with diverse stakeholders including clients, families, staff, and community partners.
- Extensive supervisory experience supervising teams of social workers or behavioral health professionals; supervisory experience is essential.
- Solid administrative skills including budgeting, program development, documentation compliance, and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of social work principles combined with hands-on experience in program management within nonprofit or healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with legal regulations related to social services provision and experience working within regulatory frameworks is preferred.
