We are seeking a Part-Time Optometric Office Assistant to join our team. This role is 16 hours per week (Tuesdays & Fridays), with opportunities to fill in as needed. You’ll serve as both the first and last point of contact for patients, preparing them for exams, supporting our doctors, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming experience.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients, schedule appointments, and manage phone/email communications.
- Collect medical information and verify insurance details.
- Operate basic diagnostic equipment (training provided).
- Train patients on contact lens use.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records.
- Provide clear explanations of procedures, policies, and services.
- Help resolve patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Support doctors in delivering excellent patient care.
