Responsibilities

• Prepare baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and consistency, adhering to established recipes and quality standards
• Assist in food production by cooking, assembling, and plating dishes efficiently for high-volume service periods
• Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques to ensure attractive presentation that delights customers
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, mixers, knives, and other culinary tools
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures at all times
• Handle food packaging accurately for takeout or display purposes while ensuring proper labeling and storage
• Support food handling practices that meet health regulations and promote safety across all kitchen activities

Experience

• Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry making within a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
• Demonstrated skills in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and high-volume production are preferred
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards is essential
• Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is required
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic math for recipe adjustments are important for success in this role
• Experience in catering or large-scale food production will be considered an asset
• Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients or team members are valued
