Your Opportunity, Your Team
- The Assistant Merchant's primary responsibility is to support the Sr. Merchant in an assigned category or categories. While learning the fundamentals of merchandising, the Assistant Merchant is responsible for understanding various concepts. These concepts include assortment architecture, product concepts, vendor negotiation, analyzing business results, competitive intelligence, customer insight, and market trends.

- This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, OH, several days per month. Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky. Relocation assistance not available for this role.
- You will support the department/category in Strategy and Presentation: Develop an understanding of the connection between financial strategies and related merchandise goals.
- You will be responsible for knowing, understanding, and following all corporate calendar meetings and events for our Merchandising Department.
- You will be involved in Assortment Development: Collaborate with the entire merchant team on cohesive seasonal looks and assortments. Help gather market intelligence focusing on business opportunities and present insights to merchant leadership. Write copy stories to product details that articulate benefits while highlighting the Grandin Road difference.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Merchandising or related field.

- You will be collaborative, and able to work with our team.
- You will be proficient in Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Curious and open to learning.
