Food & Beverage Assistant Manager
Reports to F&B Manager
Full Time position
Hourly, Non-Exempt
Primary Function
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Mildred’s Grill, including supervision of both front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Train staff and hold them accountable for opening and closing duties, as well as compliance with GFM’s cash handling policies
- Collaborate with the Manager to accurately maintain appropriate food inventory levels by ordering, receiving, tracking, and inventory control
- Assist with expense budgeting by evaluating food pricing, monitoring food cost percentages, and supporting labor cost management
- Serve as a customer service leader, ensuring employees consistently meet GFM’s service standards
- Ensure all food items meet GFM’s quality and presentation standards and promptly address in house, or guest experience concerns
- Enforce and monitor all food safety, health, and sanitation standards
- Work with Catering Specialist and Events Manager to support events and special functions as needed
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- ServSafe Certification required or willingness to obtain within one year of employment
- Minimum of two years of food and beverage experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with computer data entry and inventory management systems
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 75% of the workday
- Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dirt, or dust
- Availability to work weekends and holidays required
