What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Assistant -Football position at GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY?
Grand View University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Football - Graduate Assistant position (tuition waiver stipend) starting Fall 2026 semester.
This position will support the Head Football Coach in establishing and successfully coaching a Football program within the guidelines of the Grand View University Athletic Department that adheres to the mission of the university.
Essential Functions of Job:
- Assist the Head Football Coach in developing a successful Football Program.
- Conduct recruitment activities in accordance with NAIA rules and regulations.
- Establish an effective schedule for practices and games.
- Organize and help conduct all Football related camps and clinics
- Manage all training activities for student-athletes to ensure proper preparation for Football season.
- Promote attendance at Football events by providing information for students, faculty, staff and the public.
- Assist the athletic sports information office to maintain information on the web page and coordinate television, print and radio information.
- Perform other athletic administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in continuing education.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Completion of Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into Grand View University Master’s program required.
- Successful coaching experience at the high school or college level required.
- Ability to interact with students, parents, admission staff, and the public in a positive way.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire, train and monitor the activities of student employees.
