Overview
The Creative Director leads the vision, development and execution of the University’s visual and creative strategy. This role ensures a cohesive, compelling brand identity across all channels, supporting recruitment, advancement, athletics, academics and institutional reputation. The Creative Director collaborates with campus partners to deliver high-impact creative work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the University’s creative vision and brand standards
- Ensure consistency across print, digital, social media, video and environmental design
- Lead concept development for major projects (enrollment, fundraising, events)
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines
- Partner with marketing leadership on integrated campaigns
- Work with University departments to design and produce communication materials to support their work
- Serve as a strategic advisor on visual storytelling
- Oversee budgets, timelines and vendor relationships
Working Conditions
- Work environment is usually quiet.
- Consistent use of computer requiring keyboarding and ability to see colors and text on a screen for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications or related field
- 7–10 years of professional creative experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating brand development and campaign work
- Expert design and production skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Deep understanding of branding, storytelling and audience engagement
- Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, motivated
- Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Creative, with ability and desire to develop new ideas and initiatives
