What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Screener position at Grand View Hospital?
Responsibilities
The Security Screener is the first line of security for Grand View Health. The Security Screener will be asking screening questions of all patients, visitors, contractors and the general public upon arrival to the facility. Based on the screening, the Security Screener will follow organizational guidelines to determine if an individual is cleared to enter the facility and manage communications with hospital departments as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Welcome and sign in all visitors and patients
- Enforce the Grand View Health visitor policy with hours and number of people in the rooms.
- Check in vendors and make sure they are valid.
- Monitor the parking lot.
- Must have great communication skills to get important information regarding visitor/patient relations in addition to all Grand View Health staff.
- Ask screening questions with patience and clarity.
- Follow organizational guidelines to determine if an individual is cleared to enter the facility
- Be able to give clear directions with tact and patience.
- Manage communications with all hospital departments as needed.
Schedule: Per diem, evenings
