Job Title: English Language Learner Paraprofessional Job Family: Classified Department: Grand Valley Middle School FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay Range: Paraprofessional Salary Schedule: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour Reports to: Building Principal Job ID#: 1537 Job Description: •This position requires a solid understanding and ability to demonstrate reading, writing, and math skills •Support students within the ELL Program with academics •The ability to take advice regarding ways of helping students meet his/her IEP goals is essential to this position. •This position requires a caring, focused, and responsible disposition while working closely with a small number of Severe Needs students. •Day-to-day duties will include small-group teaching, 1-on-1 pull-out and in-class support as it pertains to specific student needs. •Work with ELL teacher to appropriately modify assignments as needed. Assisting students with testing accommodations during classroom, district, state, and national assessments.
