Service Technician

The Position: As the Service Technician, you will work alongside the organizations, Operations Manager, and other Technicians on a variety of responsibilities and projects. This position includes tight deadlines and a multitude of activities and will report to the organizations Operations Manager. The exact responsibilities for this position will be determined by the experience of the candidate hired.

Responsibilities:
· Work independently to diagnose and troubleshoot operational and performance issues with HVAC equipment.
· Repair and/or replace defective equipment, components, wiring, etc.
· Use technology to record service ticket information, order parts, record time, request additional appointments, etc.
· Communicate with clients regarding repairs needed and/or completed.
· Provide clients with a well-written and detailed estimate for needed HVAC repairs and/or recommendations.
· Produce quality workmanship while completing projects on time and on budget.
· Well organized with the ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure all jobs are done correctly.
· Willingness to learn programs and skills and constantly be learning through training from peers and project managers.
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Accurately report time, materials, and equipment per job within the field service management software.
· Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
· Keep up to date with industry’s best practices and emerging technologies.
· Other assignments and responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a service technician role or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of HVAC system, materials, and techniques.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
· Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
The Location: Grand Traverse Refrigeration is based in beautiful Northern Michigan. This position will be based out of our Traverse City office. This is a great place to live, work and play!
