Role Description Are you an accounting professional who enjoys combining financial accuracy with operational impact? Grand Targhee Resort is seeking an Accounting Manager to help lead the day-to-day accounting functions that support one of the premier mountain destinations in the West.
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Resort's financial records, supporting month-end processes, managing reconciliations, ensuring sales tax compliance, and partnering with leaders across the organization to improve financial processes and reporting. You'll play a key role in supporting business decisions while helping deliver an exceptional experience for both employees and guests.
What You'll Do
- Manage General Ledger reconciliations and account maintenance
- Support Accounts Payable and reconciliation processes
- Monitor cash activity, bank reconciliations, and miscellaneous deposits
- Prepare financial reports and analyses for leadership
- Maintain sales tax compliance and filings
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Collaborate with department leaders to strengthen financial controls and processes
- Help drive continuous improvement across accounting operations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality, resort, or ski industry experience is a plus
